Our Services
While teachers are essential in preventing and addressing bullying, there are instances when they can unintentionally contribute to or enable bullying:
- Lack of awareness: if teachers are not adequately trained or informed.
- Minimizing or dismissing bullying: when teachers dismiss bullying as ‘kids being kids.’
- Favoritism or exclusion: if teachers show favouritism, it can promote a sense of social hierarchy and exclusion.
- Lack of follow up: they may fail to follow up or monitor the situation to ensure bullying stops.
- Fear of confrontation: teachers may fear to intervene due to a fear of potential backlash from the bully or his/her parents.
What does our workshop offer?
- A comprehensive understanding of all the stakeholders involved in school bullying.
- Understanding the various stakeholders allows teachers to identify the root causes of bullying, recognize the different roles individuals play, and implement appropriate strategies to prevent and respond to bullying incidents.
- How to mediate conflicts to resolve cases of bullying between students in schools. Mediation equips teachers with effective techniques to address conflicts, promote understanding, and facilitate constructive dialogue among students.
- Mediation encourages a collaborative approach, involving all parties in finding solutions. This collaborative mindset extends beyond bullying incidents and fosters a cooperative classroom culture.
- Teachers are taught mediation through practical role-plays and interactive scripts.
